On RELIC HUNTER, international box office superstar TIA CARRERE crisscrosses the globe, skirting danger, in search of the world's most famous lost, stolen and fabled treasures, as Sydney Fox, an unorthodox History professor renowned for her knowledge of ancient civilizations. Sought out by governments, private collectors, museum curators, religious figures, law enforcement officials, the wealthy, the obsessed and, sometimes, the criminal, Syd tracks and snares impossible-to-find relics from all ages and from the remotest corners of the earth -- from mythical amulets, remains of ancient emperors and sacred scrolls to buried Nazi gold, stolen artistic masterpieces and a lost chapter of a deceased author's last work.

The exotic beauty - Carrere's an intriguing blend of Hawaiian, Chinese, Spanish and Filipino heritages - has stolen the hearts of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wesley Snipes and Mike Myers in her most memorable roles in "True Lies", "Rising Sun" and both installments of "Wayne's World". Her films have scored more than a combined $750 million at the box office worldwide. But it was probably a TV commercial that truly captured her innate appeal - that yellow M&M was smitten and powerless under her charms.

With RELIC HUNTER, Carrere returns to television in her first regular role since she made her Hollywood debut in the daytime drama "General Hospital". She's made unforgettable guest appearances - on "Veronica's Closet", "Murder One", "Married...With Children" and "Quantum Leap", among others - but had never found the right TV vehicle...until RELIC HUNTER.

The Hawaiian native recently served as executive producer on the pseudo-documentary "20 Dates", in which a lovelorn Angeleno searches for Ms. Right in a series of on-camera dates. She also appears as herself in the film, agreeing to a romantic interlude with the film's Myles Berkowitz. Her other producing credits include the feature film "The Immortal", and she'll appear in the upcoming indie film "Meet Prince Charming".

Carrere is an avowed dog lover and supporter of numerous charities, including Planned Parenthood, and lives in Los Angeles.
